I created this thread to inform you that Missing 411, a movie that is trying to get the National Park service to not only investigate but provide full disclosure of the large numbers of missing persons in the wilds of North America is currently underway but is in need of donations.

So far the campaign has reached $90,579 of the budgeted $100,000.

The movie features in depth analysis of persons missing, along with interviews of the victims’ families, with current and retired park rangers and reporters.

David Paulides, a retired police officer has investigated thousands of cases and documented the disappearances of over 4,100 individuals who have gone missing in the wild. These individuals meet a strict criteria which eliminates persons who died in the wilderness because of drowning or suicide. The majority of the victims he documents are either very young or very old. Those who have never been found, or have been found deceased cannot be tracked by trained canines. Those who are found dead or alive are often found in locations that have already been thoroughly searched by rescuers. Those found alive are unable to express their ordeal due to the fact that they are very young or have a mental disability.

After an initial search for the missing person the majority of those missing are never found, the search is called off and the case is effectively shut leaving the victim's families with no answers of where their loved ones are or what happened to them.

This movie hopes to force the national park service to provide a list of persons who have gone missing in their parks which are unbelievably currently unavailable to the public.
