Hi Kickstarter,
I started designing the franc a few months ago. Minimal design was important to me because I love the natural look of the iPhone.
The franc is the best way to carry your cards with the iPhone. I made the first prototype from a 3D printer and I immediately loved it. I'm often asked who makes it and where I got it. I am happy to now refer them to this kickstarter page :)
The lead time to make the franc is very short. I already have manufacturers lined up and ready to go. If this project is successful then I can start shipping right at the end of this project!

What is the franc? The franc was not designed to be an iPhone case. Instead, it is an attachment that does not detract from the look and feel of the iPhone. The current design is for the iPhone 4 and 4s but you can pre-order a franc for iPhone 5 right here on this kickstarter page. The iPhone 5 franc shipment will be sent about a month after the iPhone 5 is released by Apple.
How does the franc work? The franc snaps onto the back of the iPhone 4/4s firmly securing the cards to the iPhone. There is foam padding on the backside of the franc that acts like a spring providing positive pressure even when the cards are removed.

Why I Need Funding:I need about $10,000 to pay for the injection mold, patent application, and first production run.

It's often simply ideas like this which end up being brilliant. Just think, your wallet and phone in one pretty much.

Nice idea. Do you have plans to make this for the more popular Android devices like the Galaxy III? I assume you'd like to test the waters with the iPhone 4 and 4s first. 3D printing is amazing by the way. What printer did you use to make the prototype with?

I will for sure make the franc for Android devices if people like the iPhone version. For the 3D printing I use a company called solid concepts. I just send them the drawing and I have my prototypes back in a few days. It is a bit pricey (about $60 - $100) but it's pretty convenient.

Yeah, but if you think about it, $100 for a prototype is pennies compared to what you'd pay without a 3D Printer. Goodluck with your project, Seems like a winner! Thanks for taking your time to come here and post!
