START-UP GAME DEVELOPMENT ‘50-50’ PARTNERSHIP
AntiBall™ will be developed by Sourcebits, Inc. Sourcebits is based in San Francisco, California, and backed by a $10m VC fund from Sequoia Capital and IDG Ventures. Clients include GE, SAP, Intel, MIT, P&G, Hershey’s, and Coca-Cola, as well as emerging technology companies such as Knocking, Peel, TwitPic, CloudOn, and Sling Media. With revenues of $6m and 400 employees based in San Francisco, the company was ranked as the 38th fastest growing technology company in 2011. Sourcebits has developed more than 500 mobile, web, and cloud solutions on mobile platforms with more than 20 apps reaching the Top-10 in global app stores. Sourcebits has agreed to partner with Gammalot on their 50-50 start-up game development program.

The 50-50 program offers Gammalot to pay 50% of the total design and development cost of the AntiBall™ project in cash to Sourcebits, who will then become a partner with Gammalot and take the 50% balance as a future option. This means that AntiBall™ will be launched and scaled-up much faster and globally across all major software platforms on all popular mobile gaming devices at half the cost of development!

1. Primary Research: in Sep 2011 an external agency carried out an objective ‘proof of market’ survey of football gamers on the unique features of AntiBall™. Total 110 surveys completed at three Premier League stadiums, with a regional mix of fans. 11 questions asked, responses to main question:
* Very Interested=35%
* Somewhat Interested=24%.

2. Trade Mark: AntiBall™ registered with UK IPO on 1 March 2012.

3. Domain Names: internet URLs ‘antiball’ and ‘gammalot’ secured.

4. Company: Gammalot Ltd registered on 16 Aug 2012.

5. Investor (holding) Website with game-play graphics: www.gammalot.com

6. Business Plan and Financials ready

7. App Development: commissioned an experienced developer, created base character and 3 unique game-play environments iOS (Apple) devices.

8. Letter of Intent from Sourcebits, Inc. USA offering to develop AntiBall™ on a 50-50 program.

MONETISATION STRATEGY
Mobile game developers are increasingly shifting away from a standard premium pricing structure and instead offering free games that can be augmented with In-App Purchases (IAP) via a ‘Freemium’ model. Apps are big business, and the biggest app business is games. In 2012, Flurry estimates revenue earned from apps will approach $10 billion, with games taking over 80% of the pie. The free-to-play business model (aka freemium), where consumers download and play the “core loop” of a game for free, but then pay for virtual goods and currency through micro-transactions, is the most prolific business model in the new era of digital distribution. When it comes to app consumption on iOS and Android smart devices, consumers spend over 40% of all their time using games.

Following this growing worldwide ‘Freemium’ monetisation trend, AntiBall® would be a free to download 3D mobile game app with In-App Purchases (IAP) from Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Marketplace, Chrome Store, Mac Store, Amazon Store, etc.

2. No salaries till we’re cash positive

3. Best-practice digital marketing strategy and tactics to drive download volumes and revenue growth

4. Work closely with the best game developers to deliver on time and within budget, with a relentless focus on customer requirements

5. And finally, I have personally invested £15,000 of my own savings in this venture on primary research, domains, website, IP, company formation, branding, game characters & game-play design. As a measure of my ongoing commitment, I plan to invest a further £5,000 when we achieve the funding target of £75,000.
