Interesting site I just came across from a post on Linked. http://www.projectkick.us/

Shows a map of the US and how many Kickstarter projects have been listed in each city. Seems like NYC, Chicago, Seattle, and California are the epicenters for Kickstarter. Having said this, things are distributed fairly evenly throughout the entire country.

Interesting. Not a lot going on down the centre (sorry, I'm not from the US so without going to a separate map I can't identify which those states are).

Not surprisingly, these correspond very closely to the population distribution in the US.

This is very interesting! Since Kickstarter let's you choose the location of your project do you think it makes sense to pick one of the densely populated areas? Or do you use the reverse logic and avoid those populated areas so your project does not get buried beneath the pile? Thoughts?

When I browse Kickstarter projects I browse by category and interest, not state or city. So to me, geography doesn't play any big role. Except for free deliveries in the same city ^^
