Pros:

It's a good tool, from someone who had to deal with the pain of managing his backers post-kickstarter
He (Max Salzberg) has a lot going on to keep him busy, but he took the time to set up a phone call with me and exchange emails about other functionality he might add
It might bring in some extra income from the backers, with "Oh yeah, I want that reward as well" options
Far more functionality than Kickstarter's native backer contact tools
Saves you time

Cons:

It's not a one-stop shop - it's almost exclusively for coordinating with the backers about their rewards and such
They haven't really tracked hard numbers, so the "up to 10% more" part is only an educated guess
(unless he's changed the pricing model recently) it costs 1% of your Kickstarter amount

Bottom Line:
It's worth it to me, because it will let me focus on developing my game, rather than coordinating the rewards. Plus, my project is backer-interaction heavy, so having a more advanced backer-contact system is important.
