I remember when we got this devastating news. My mom was diagnose with a Tumor that had being growing inside her for years. This Tumor brought my mom to a near death experience. She recently underwent surgery overseas. She received the best of care & the surgery was successful but she is still undergoing treatment which is very expensive. The healing process is likely to take another 2 years. We have no insurance and we are struggling with her Medical Expenses. We need assistance to help pay for her Treatment & Medical Bills. Please whatever you can donate, we are truly grateful.

But Kickstarter is still pretty good for Documentaries right?

I also wonder though, what makes these 2 platforms so successful compared to other crowdfunding platforms? (apart from the huge network that they already have of course). Like what was it in the first place? Or is it the first mover advantage? Cus you can see here that they are similar and yet different, how can one create a different models and motivation for people to back an artistic project?

We prefer Kickstarter for our launch and campaign. We will then move it over to Indiegogo for an "In Demand" listing where we can sell the product once Kickstarter is fulfilled. I think Kickstarter is best for design projects like ours.

Kickstarter is limited to countries which is an advantage for Indiegogo
But I think KS is more popular and known...
